Ben Affleck might have put his heart and soul into playing the Caped Crusader, but he wasnt a popular choice as Batman.
It came as no surprise then, when news broke suggesting Warner Bros. was trying to usher him out of the role.
As a result, many of Hollywoods biggest names have been linked with the job for an upcoming solo movie called The Batman.
Rumoured to be the beginning of a new trilogy of Batman films, this installment is still in the writing stage, according to reports.
However, Oscar Isaac (The Last Jedi, Ex Machina) has met with Warner Bros. to discuss an undisclosed role in the forthcoming movie, reports Geeks WorldWide
The report goes on to state that sources have told OU an offer hasnt been made but Isaac is interested in the role.

Of course, this may not be about the role of Batman, as there are numerous heroes and villains that could feature in a Batman standalone feature.
Although given Isaacs proven star power, youd expect him to be up for the top job.
Earlier this year, Karl Urban lit up his bat signal when he stated he is open to playing the Dark Knight should the opportunity arise.
After wowing film fans in a 2012 movie about comic book favourite Judge Dredd, rumours had sprung up that he could star as another equally sinister DC character.
I dont know, I havent really contemplated that [taking on the role of Batman], began the 46-year-old Aussie.
Usually the way the process works for me is I get sent projects, sent scripts and I read them, meet with the filmmakers and really on that basis choose to get involved.

As far as Batman goes, I guess my favorite Batman movie was The Dark Knight. Chris Nolan is just an extraordinary director and I thought Christian Bale was a fantastic Batman, and obviously with such talent like Heath Ledger that was the perfect comic book movie right there. So, I dont know, Im open to any and all opportunities.
