Philippe Coutinho will wear Barcelona‘s No.7 shirt after he completes his £142 million transfer from Liverpool, according to reports in Spain.
The Brazilian has travelled to Barcelona on Saturday evening to finalise his move after the two clubs agreed a record fee earlier in the day.
Coutinho will sign a five-and-a-half-year contract, which includes a €400 million (£355m) release clause, with the La Liga leaders.
According to Spanish radio station Onda Cero, Coutinho will be given the No.7 shirt for the remainder of the campaign.

The number is currently occupied by Arda Turan but the 30-year-old is yet to feature for Barcelona this season and is expected to leave Camp Nou at some point during the January transfer window.
Coutinho is expected to be officially unveiled as a Barcelona player on Monday and he could make his debut against Celta Vigo in the Copa del Rey on Thursday evening.
The Brazilian is expected to watch his new teammates from the stands as Barcelona face Levante at Camp Nou on Sunday.
Coutinho had wanted to join Barcelona in the summer but Liverpool prevented the midfielder from leaving.
And Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool did everything they could to try to persuade the 25-year-old to stay.
‘I can tell the Liverpool supporters that we, as a club, have done everything within our means to convince Philippe that remaining part of LFC was as attractive as moving to Spain, but he is 100 per cent certain his future – and that of his family – belongs at Barcelona,’ Klopp told the club’s official website.
‘It is his dream and I am now convinced there is nothing left at our disposal to change his mind.’
