Plan B is determined to make his new album a success, as the star admits its already cost me a lot.

The Prayin hitmaker confessed that he hasnt seen his four-year-old daughter in almost three months as a result of working on his latest LP, Heaven Before All Hell Breaks Loose.

But despite missing out on precious family time, the recording artist is hell-bent on showing her that hard-work can pay off.

He confessed: I dont want to miss her growing up. The past three months? Ive not properly seen her, and its tore me up. But this album has to be the best because, as a father, I need to show her how hard she needs to work.

Yet its cost me a lot, and I dont have to do another. There is a clock ticking down about life. Before her, it was just insatiable ambition. Then someone comes into your life, and your time with them means more to you.

Admitting to being in a new place in his life, the 34-year-old music star explained that he didnt feel the need to rap on the new album as he had nothing to be angry about.

Speaking with The Sunday Times Culture magazine, he said: Rapping allows a lot more content into a song. A lot of my hip-hop was angry, and there is no better tool to voice that directly.

With singing, its soft and nice. It didnt feel right rapping [on the new album], as I didnt have anything to rap about … Id chilled out a lot when I started this album.

Heaven Before All Hell Breaks Loose marks the artists first album in over eight years, featuring recently released track Grateful and Heartbeat which came out last October.

Heaven Before All Hell Breaks Loose is out 4 May.
