Hip-hop star Post Malones new album Hollywoods Bleeding has debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart – making him the second biggest debut of 2019 after Taylor Swift.

His new set, released on September 6, hit over 365 million audio streams in its first week – the biggest streaming week for an album in 2019.

It also opened with 489,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending September 12 according to Nielsen Music – the second-biggest week of 2019 for any album, with the biggest being Taylor Swifts Lover.

Sorry Swifties.

Of that total unit sum, 200,000 were in album sales.

This is Malones second album to debut at number 1 on the Billboard chart, following 2018s Beerbongs & Bentleys, which debuted with 461,000 units (of which 153,000 were in album sales).

It also broke several streaming records on release, including a 34-year-old one previously held by Michael Jackson for Thriller.

The 17-track album, Malones third record, has already had four singles make it to the Billboard top 100: Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) with Swae Lee (No. 1), Wow (No. 2), Goodbyes, featuring Young Thug (No. 3) and Circles (No. 7).

The American rappers latest track, Take What You Want, featuring Ozzy Osbourne and Travis Scott had fans insisting Malone had put Black Sabbath rocker Osbourne on the map.

True story.

The Psycho performer has received a number of awards since bursting onto the music scene in 2016 with Stoney, including two American Music Awards, a Billboard Music Award, an MTV Video Music Award, and has been nominated for four Grammy Awards.

When asked by Kerwin Frost what he sees success as he said it was being happy and not being limited by terrestrial shit.

Success is like having what you need and being able to do what you want, whenever you want and just being happy and soaking it in, he said. And Im working on it now.
