Professor Green graced Electric Brixton with his presence last night and it felt like somewhat of a homecoming.
For many fans at the London show, it had been a while since theyd seen Pro Green on the stage due to him taking time out from music to focus on his BBC documentaries, marijuana campaigning and other philanthropic-like projects.
So to finally headline a rare show in his hometown was no doubt a big deal to Pro.
There were absolutely no nerves when Pro, real name Stephen Manderson, bustled onto that stage which was a little surprising – but actually the tequila he so desperately needed probably helped some.
Nothing like a little dutch courage, eh?
Setting the tone for the rest of the evening, Pro opened the show with a surprise appearance from Rag N Bone Man, who joined the rapper for a performance of their new single Photographs.

Turns out, the burly-looking yet friendly giant was just one of many guest performers who Pro had lined up backstage, ready to roll out at the drop of a beat.
As the night progressed, it honestly felt like Pro had Mary Poppins never-ending bag of treats stashed in the back as, one by one, his guest performers each took their turn to claim their moment in the spotlight.
At one point, Miles Kane joined the rapper for a rendition of their 2013 single Are You Getting Enough while Example made a drunken appearance for their 2010 hit Monster – throwback!
Grime star Fekky stayed around for a couple of songs while Alice Chater, fresh from her cameo in Little Mixs Strip video, strutted around the stage for her collaboration with Pro.
The versatility of support acts perfectly complimented Pros ability to weave in and out of various genres almost seamlessly.
One minute hes getting Unruly and cutting cool shapes to grime, the next hes hurling himself around the stage to dubstep -heavy Jungle before leading the audience on a singalong to the American-style rock of Avalon.
You never know what youre going to get next with Pro so it was actually quite fitting to hear that he had no clue who his audience were.
Were they day one fans, documentary viewers or other?
It really didnt matter because whichever section of the concert you preferred, the audience were united and thats probably the essence of Pros success and likeability.

Theres something for everyone.
Then for the grand finale…
Remember in 2012 when Emeli Sande was pretty much omnipresent and at every single event be it the London Olympics opening ceremony, then the closing ceremony and everything in between?
We joke – but its really true.
Well surprisingly, it almost seemed as though Pro hadnt managed to tap Emeli Sande for a guest appearance, despite everyone else and their mother coming to town.
That was until we heard those opening lines of Read All About It from the side of the stage and the queen herself emerged in a poof of smoke.
More: Professor Green
OK, maybe not a poof of smoke but you get the picture.
It was the perfect way to round off a truly fun evening and a reminder that Pro Greens versatility makes for a brilliantly well-rounded show.
