Ryan Reynolds is having the time of his life in the live-action adaptation of Pokémon, called Detective Pikachu, and it looks like hes already working on another video game movie.

Reynolds was spotted filming Free Guy, his newest venture, in Boston.

The action-comedy film is about a bank worker who discovers hes a player within a video game, so think Ready Player One meets The Truman Show.

The 42-year-old actor was seen running around in the streets of Boston alongside co-star and Killing Eve actress Jodie Comer on Monday.

In one scene, 26-year-old Comer is seen pushing a gun into a frightened- looking Reynolds ribs in what appears to be a bank robber sequence.

The English actress may have swapped her long blonde hair for short brunette locks, but she appears to be just as badass as her Killing Eve character Villanelle as she herds Ryans character into the streets.

Clad in a pair of skin-tight leather trousers, a leather holster strapped to her thigh and hardcore boots that look like theyre made for kicking, her look is in stark contrast to Reynolds camel-coloured trousers, blue shirt and tie combo: An Every Man if ever there was one.

Shooting took place in Bostons Liberty Square, reports Boston Globe, and Free Guy is slated to film in the city through May, June and July.

According to a description of the film, it tells the story of a lonely bank teller [Reynolds] who discovers he is a background character in the massive open-world video game Free City and eventually must save his virtual world.

It is unknown what rating Ryans new film will get, but if the raunchy, foul-mouthed actor (he plays Deadpool, after all) has anything to do with it, it may well be NSFW.

The 42-year-old actor, who is the voice behind Pikachu, admitted that some of his jokes toed the R-rated line and were kept out of the film.
