What could make Star Wars: A New Hope better? How about Star Wars: A New Hope with a live orchestra in the Royal Albert Hall?
The 1977 classic is the next in The Royal Albert Hall’s big Films In Concert series and will screen alongside the London Symphony Orchestra playing the music from the film live on stage.
The movie, which stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford, has proven to be the most-requested by fans for the series and it’s finally arriving in London this November.
And what makes this screening extra-special is the fact that the LSO featured on the original soundtrack for the film.
The Hall will actually be launching a special Star Wars season, also featuring other concerts, family events and Q&As.
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Star Wars: A New Hope will also tour the UK following its UK premiere.
John Williams’ iconic score for the 1977 film is one of the most loved – and most renowned – in film history.
It not only won Williams an Oscar but it was also chosen by the American Film Institute as the greatest score ever written. That’s some feat.
