K-pop boy band SHINee celebrated a milestone in their career.
The group marked their 10th anniversary in show business on May 25 but for the first time, they celebrated without member Jonghyun, who took his own life last December.
SHINee debuted on May 25, 2008 with the album Replay and they were composed of Jonghyun, Onew, Minho, Key and Taemin.

The remaining four members posted handwritten letters to thank fans for supporting them in the last 10 years.
Time has passed so quickly, its already our 10th anniversary. We met on May 25, 2008 and now its May 25, 2018. Weve had a lot of memories, both happy and sad, over the last 10 years. I cant think of anything else to say than truly, Thank you so much. So really, thank you so much, Minho wrote.
He added, Lets spend our time together even more happily from now on, making happy memories to the point of tears. For sure! I will always be with Shawols ~ Please stay by SHINees side ~~ Thank you and I love you all so much.

In addition, Key remembered Jonghyun when he posted a photo of SHINee with SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo Man. The photos caption had the hashtags #10thanniversary #shinee #smt #wishyouwerehere.
Onew wrote that weve reached our 10th anniversary. I started when I was 20 years old but now time has passed and Ive become 30 years old. The time spent with you all make up precious memories, and I hope that the time we will spend together in the future will become even more precious memories.
Taemin posted that its somehow already become 10 years while we were crazily racing forward. I always imagined this day in the past; time flies by so quickly. I wonder how you all feel… I think you all are probably feeling these inexplicable emotions like me, right?

SHINee will be releasing their 10th anniversary album The Story of Light with the first part coming out on 28 May.
Jonghyun passed away on 18 December 2017 due to suicide.
In his suicide note he left in the care of his friend, he said, I am broken from the inside. Depression, which was eating me away, has devoured me in the end, and I could not beat it, according to KBS World.
