Shiseido Latest Mission Sees It Give Back to UAE Medical Workers Fighting COVID-19

As thousands world-wide continue to feel the effects of COVID-19, countless fashion and beauty brands have banded together in an attempt to give back to those in need and to those fighting the pandemic head-on. The latest to join the fight against COVID-19 is beauty brand, Shiseido.

The luxury beauty brand has partnered with Emirates Red Crescent to distribute essential skincare products and beauty kits to the many frontline medical workers in the UAE.

"We understand that it is a tough time for our heroes as they are working around the clock to save lives and safeguard the community," explains Mohamad Al Khalil, Managing Director of Shiseido Group Middle East.

Adding: "Working in such an environment leaves the healthcare team with limited time for self-care, and thus having limited access to essential self-care products."

The collaboration forms part of Shiseido's core values, PEOPLE FIRST. To date, Shiseido EMEA has already partnered with Red Cross to distribute one million Euros in donations across France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and the UK.

While the brand's office in France has announced that it will begin manufacturing hydroalcoholic gel to help relieve shortages experienced in hospitals and retirement homes from this week.

Shiseido joins Huda and Mona Kattan as well as Tommy Hilfiger and more, in the fight against COVID-19.

Beauty masterminds Huda and Mona Kattan have pledged to support first responders in the US through BeautyUnited. The non-profit initiative is also supported by Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow, Drew Barrymore, Bobbi Brown, and Charlotte Tilbury. By donating protective gear, supplies, and funds to the frontline healthcare workers, BeautyUnited aims to help those most affected by COVID-19, and those support those on the front line of the virus.
