Simbu will be seen next in Vandha Rajavadhan Varuven.
We had reported on Monday that Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan will play a pivotal role in Kamal Haasans upcoming film Indian 2. While we await an official announcement on the same, we now hear Simbu has bagged a crucial role in the sequel to Indian.
A source close to the actor confirmed that Simbu is “almost on board, but he is yet to sign the dotted lines.” The source added, “Simbu is a huge fan of Ulaganayagan and from our side, we cant reveal anything more.”
Rumour mills suggest that Simbu plays a cop in Indian 2.
For now, we hear the writers team (Kabilan Vairamuthu, Jayamohan and Lakshmi Saravanakumar) is working on the rough draft of the script, and is expected to lock the final version soon. Reports suggest that Shankar will be shooting important scenes of the film in and around Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. A little birdie tells us that the makers are planning to erect massive sets at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. After Dil Raju opted out of Indian 2, Lyca Productions is bankrolling the film.
During an interaction with the press, Kamal Haasan had said Indian 2 will have more powerful dialogues than Indian. The technical crew of the film comprises cinematographer Ravivarman of Barfi fame and music director Anirudh Ravichander.
On the other hand, Simbu has Sundar Cs Vandha Rajavadhan Varuven in the pipeline, among other commitments.
