Spider-Man spin-off Sinister Six still has a chance of being made, according to Sony producer Amy Pascal.
A Sinister Six movie, which focuses on a united group of Spider-Man villains, was claimed to be in the pipeline back when Sony launched The Amazing Spider-Man films starring Andrew Garfield – with their muted success putting plans on hold.
The Spider-Man movie universe now, however, is somewhat in a resurgence – with Tom Hollands interpretation being welcomed, box office success of Venom and the critically beloved animation Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse now dominating conversation.
The franchises renewed success has already spawned planned sequels to Venom and Spider-Verse, and now it appears Sinister Six could also be pushed forward – if director Drew Goddard is ready to go.
Speaking to Vanity Fair about the Sinister Six spin-off, Amy Pascal said: Im just waiting for Drew to be ready to direct it.

Goddard currently has rumoured commitments to Deadpool spin-off X-Force, which was recently delayed due to Disneys acquisition of Fox – so could he switch to Sinister Six?
If youre unfamiliar, the Sinister Six is essentially Marvels equivalent of Suicide Squad, typically consisting of Spider-Man super-villains ranging from Dr. Otto Octavius, Electro to Mysterio.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse is in cinemas now.
