Future Star Wars spin-offs have reportedly been put on hold following the struggles of Solo: A Star Wars Story at the box office.
Disney and Lucasfilm have decided to put future spin-offs on the backburner to focus attention on Star Wars: Episode IX and the next mainline trilogy, according to Collider.
Sources told the site an Obi-Wan Kenobi origins movie was in active development, but those working on the film are no longer involved.
It was also recently rumoured Logan director James Mangold was in talks to write and direct a spin-off around Boba Fett, with that films future now apparently up in the air.
The recent release of Solo: A Star Wars Story became the franchises first damp squib at the box office, taking $84.4 million (£63m) on opening weekend and $192.8 million (£146m) over a month – noticeably less than Rogue Ones opening of $155 million (£117) and $424 million domestic (£322m) by its fourth week.

Production on Solo also faced a big shake-up when original directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller departed the project, leading to drastic reshoots under new director Ron Howard.
While the film was critically warmly received sitting at 71% on Rotten Tomatoes, its box office shortcomings possibly stemmed from its May release date – just five months after Star Wars: The Last Jedi hit cinemas.
There will be more Star Wars films on the horizon however outside Episode XI, with The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson creating a new trilogy while Game Of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are also penning a series of films.
