The Flash finally hit big screens in 2016 with the Justice League – but one eagle-eyed DC fan has suggested the fast superhero may have already appeared on screen alongside Batman, in Tim Burtons Batman Returns.
Easter eggs seems a dime a dozen these days but back in 1992 they werent quite as mainstream as they are now, however perhaps Burton did sneak in one very quick egg for fans, which has taken 26 years to be spotted.
After a rewatch of Burtons sequel, YouTuber DayToDayWithJay has suggested that during one of Bruce Waynes masquerade parties, a guest appears to be wearing a winged helmet, which was Jay Garricks choice of headgear in the early Flash comics.
Jay was the first Flash – before Barry Allen – and his helmet was a symbol of hope for the people of Earth Two.

Considering all guests should be in masks, its telling that one partygoer is in full regalia – and its also silly to dismiss the fact that the costume department wouldnt have known that one of Batmans Justice League comrades wears a headpiece exactly like this one.
In recent years, The Flash has come into his own with a CW show, in which Grant Gustin plays the hero, and appearances in Justice League, Batman Vs. Superman, and Suicide Squad with Ezra Miller taking up the mantle.
Millers Flash will appear in his own standalone film in 2020.
