The latest Predator film has a lot to live up to given the hype thats slowly been building around it.
And it seems that its a case of so far, so good with Shane Blacks The Predator, as the latest trailer features a mouth-watering dusting of gore interspaced with one-line and action-packed set-pieces.
The film, which is effectively trying to reanimate the franchise following 2010s luke-warm Predators, sees the normal Predator joined by another more terrifying version boosted by DNA from other species.
And as the trailer shows as soon as they hit the surface of planet Earth its an all-out gore-fest.
Introducing us more thoroughly to the concept of the band of brigands who become one small towns last line of defence against the blood-thristy aliens, the trailer gives us a glimps of Blacks penchant for one-liners and comedy.

Throw in a look at The Predator laying prone in a military lab after cutting its way through a squad of soldiers, and everything is teed-up.
Teed-up for MAYHEM we tell you!
With it being a Predator film it wouldnt be complete without some huge explosions or a healthy smattering of blood and gore, which this trailer teases heavily.
Theres also huge alien dogs (first seen in Predators) and theyre shown having a more active role in this film.
More: aliens
All in all, Mr. Black has interests firmly piqued.
The Predator hits UK cinemas on 12 September.
