The Script are currently in the midst of filing a copyright infringement lawsuit against James Arthur, but apparently theres no bad blood there.

The bands lead singer Danny ODonoghue is suing James as he claims the X Factor winners song Say You Wont Let Go is a rip off of the Irish bands 2008 hit The Man Who Cant Be Moved – however, in a recent interview the bands guitarist Mark Sheehan called the 30-year-old a fantastic artist.

Speaking to The Sun, Sheehan said: The thing about these things is everyone gets into a he said, she said thing, and we dont want to put James down.

I dont want anyone to put us down, so youve got to protect everybodys career.

We think James is a fantastic artist.

Its unlikely that James feels quite as peaceful about the incident, since he recently rapped about how the band are snakes.

James used a BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge appearance as an opportunity to hit back at the legal proceedings without saying too much.

He covered Jorja Smiths Blue Light, and added his own verse, saying theyll never see a dime and branded them snakes full of jealousy.

He rapped: Did you see – tho desperate men call for desperate times. But they will never see a single flipping dime of mine.

Im dynamite; every single line I write, inspired by life. You can get your lawyers to indict me. You rich fellows that jealous you would spite me.

He continued: You should know I never follow The Script. I rip it up and I flip it; Im from the gutters of Britain. I went from nothin to millions, my fingers up in the system.

He then finished with: All the snakes full of jealousy are praying Ill flop. Youll do nothin – except kick on a rock. Ill be so flippin high Ill be riding with Spock. I got money, the cars – everything I ever wanted.
