People are seriously campaigning for Nirvana to get back together – and they want Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger to hop on the vocals too!
This is what it would look like when you mix the old with the new.
Someone on Facebook has started a campaign to get the surviving members of the most loved rock band of the past quarter-century to hook up with the lead singer of 00s band Nickleback.
But how likely is this union?
The Facebook event page reads: The campaign starts here.
It then lists New Years Day 2019, as the date this gig is planned to happen.
At the time of writing this story, 1,600 people are set to attend, while 4000 are interested in going.
And the venue for this hopeful gig? Could it be the grand old Wembley Stadium? Or the ever so popular O2 Arena?

Nope, just the humble Nirvana Hair and Beauty Bar in Manchester. And we are thinking what you are thinking too! How on earth will they fit in all those people in a salon?
But if you are truly interested you can confirm your interest on Facebook and hope to see Nirvanas Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear set up behind Canadian rocker Kroeger… possibly after getting a blow dry.
One social media user commented: I know this is a joke, but David Grohl could do it…Corey Taylor leads two bands…
Others pointed out that it would not be the same without the late Kurt Cobain, who died aged 27 in 1994.
More: Kurt Cobain
This can never happen without THE Kurt, wrote another.
A third wrote: So youre getting media attention for your little salon by using the death of Kurt Cobain and the band needing a singer. Well Nirvana has a singer and its Kurt Cobain.
Chad really shouldnt lower himself this far. He should set his sights on a more talented band. Hes a vocalist of a generation, pointed out another fan.
If you really want to get your hopes up and wait for this happen, you can register your interest – but we are all pretty sure its all a harmless joke.
