Justin Bieber is set to be honoured by his hometown later this month as a brand new exhibition opens celebrating his rise to fame.

Yes Beliebers: Justin has donated over 60 personal artifacts from his life for Steps to Stardom, which runs at the Perth and Stratford museum in Ontario.

Opening on February 18, the new exhibition will chart the Sorry singer’s rise to fame, as well as showcasing personal items and influences from throughout his life.

As Billboard magazine reported, there’s a wealth of Bieberish bits for fans to muse (and salivate) over – including his trainer collection and musical instruments from his childhood.

Museum curator John Kastner said that interest to the small Canadian museum has grown tenfold, attracting phone calls from around the world.

Funny that.

‘When it was first announced, I went down and saw our manager of exhibits and said, “Okay, I know you’re really working hard at this and I see the design is going to be fantastic. What I don’t want to happen is somebody flies in here from Japan and goes ‘I’m really disappointed’,”.

‘She goes, “Japan?’ I just got an email from somebody in Japan!”‘

Other Stratford residents and fans have also donated to the collection but it will be constantly refreshed from the museum’s access to 125 Bieber pieces.

However, as the museum’s head of exhibitions, Micaela Fitzsimmons said there’s a few eyebrow raising items and suddenly our interest was piqued yet again.

‘The quirkiest item we have is a pair of Ellen underwear, a take home gift after appearing on the show.

‘We also have a set of drums that were given to him after a fundraiser. He was nine and a few local guys organised a fundraiser to buy him his own set of drums. We tracked them down and they are part of the exhibit.’

For those making the trip to small town Stratford, they can visit Bieber’s former high school Northwestern, his favourtie candy shops, sit at ‘his table’ and Madelyn’s Diner, as well as the Avon theatre, where Bieber is said to have caught his big break filming himself busking.
