Thanks to the current lack of trailer or any solid information on Avengers 4, Marvel fans are combing every MCU film for hints on what could happen in the franchises finale.
And the latest theory comes from a scene in Thor: The Dark World.
A seemingly insignificant conversation between Jane Foster and Eir may signal how the heroes wiped out in the Thanos snap could come back to life in Avengers 4.
Redditor leafinferno has pointed out a scene in the 2013 sequel, which sees Jane (Natalie Portman) and Asgardian doctor Eir (Alice Krige) discuss a machine Jane is being examined in.
Jane asks if it is a quantum field generator, with Eir explaining the Asgardians call it a Soul Forge.
However, its established that both of these machines transfer molecular energy from one place to another – meaning there could be a relation between souls and the quantum field, or the Quantum Realm.

If this is correct, souls that are suspended in the Quantum Realm could be brought back to life – just like those who were turned to dust in the Thanos snap.
Throw in the fact that the force around the Soul Forge is orange, just like the Soul Stone, and we reckon leafinferno is onto something here.
It has already been confirmed that the Quantum Realm will be key to the plot of Avengers 4, with Michael Douglas telling Ryan Seacrest: Thats the key. The Quantum Realm plays an important part in all the next chapters, I think, of the Marvel films.

The Quantum Realm, as described by Hank Pym, is a reality where all concepts of time and space become irrelevant as you shrink for all eternity.
You can get to the alternate dimension via subatomic shrinking caused by the Pym Particles – which is what happened to Janet Van Dyne and Scott Lang – or by using a Sling Ring. Who has a Sling Ring? Doctor Strange.
Of course, Strange was eliminated in the Thanos snap, but Lang, aka Ant-Man, was left suspended in the Quantum Realm at the end of Ant-Man and The Wasp. With Pym, Janet and Hope all dusted as well, it is expected that Lang will go back in time to attempt to stop the snap.

Weight was added to this theory after Paul Rudd was pictured filming alongside Robert Downey Jr in a Battle Of New York scene, a battle which Ant-Man was not at in the first place.
