TI has admitted that he rejected Drake before the aspiring rapper signed with Young Money.

The rapper, who dropped his brand new album Dime Trap, recalled the decision not to sign Drizzy to his label while talking on The Breakfast Club.

I passed on Drake. It was Drake before the beard, barefaced Drake, he told.

TI explained that he decided that Drake wasnt the right fit because hip hop wasnt there with emotional side of rappers then.

Holding his hands up, TI explained that he didnt predict the direction that hip hop was heading – unlike Birdman and Lil Wayne.

It just hadnt caught all the way up yet. That type of music, that sound of music, the emo sound wasnt necessarily prevalent at the time. I didnt see the curve just like I never thought skinny jeans was gonna happen. That one got by me, TI confessed.

It didnt take long before Charlamagne Tha God quizzed TI on allegations that one of TIs friends allegedly peed on Drake in 2010 and TI couldnt answer that.

I have no recollection. I cannot confirm nor deny anything. Lets move on to the next question, he said.

Drake wasnt the only one that TI didnt manage to snare, as Meek Mill was also close to inking a deal with the Whatever You Like rapper.

After my two hiatuses I was put in a position where I couldnt really make moves on Meek as quick as he may have wanted to,” he previously told Billboard.

I never been one want to hold anyone back or to slow down the success of anybody. Im the first to try to enhance what you have and if I cant make it better, then I shouldnt be a part of it.
