Tim McGraw collapsed on stage during a show in Dublin on Sunday night, leaving wife Faith Hill to address the crowds.
He was performing as part of the C2C: Country to Country Festival, which saw a line-up of country artists visit London, Glasgow and the Irish capital over the weekend.
During last night’s closing Dublin leg, McGraw reportedly collapsed at around 10:37pm following a performance of his hit Humble & Kind.
Rolling Stone reports that the 50-year-old artist then dropped to his knees on stage before sitting down. He was then escorted off stage.
After a short delay, McGraw’s wife Faith Hill – who co-headlined the show last night with her husband – then addressed the audience to reassure fans about the singer’s condition.
‘He’s been super-dehydrated,’ Hill explained. ‘I apologise, but I made the decision that he cannot come back out on stage.’
A representative for McGraw said that the artist ‘will be fine’.
‘Tim McGraw was suffering from dehydration in Dublin this evening at the C2C show,’ the statement says.
‘He was attended to by local medical staff on-site and will be fine.
‘He and Faith thank everyone for their love and support and look forward to seeing their Irish fans again soon.’
Fifty-year-old McGraw’s next scheduled live performance is on May 31 in Richmond, Virginia – here’s hoping he’s fit and ready by then.
He and Faith Hill, also 50, have been married for 22 years, having tied the knot on 6 October 1996.
The couple have three children together – Gracie, 20, Maggie Elizabeth, 19, and Audrey Caroline, 16.
McGraw is thought of as one of the most successful country music artists in the world, and he and Faith Hill together feature in the list of the top 10 highest paid celebrity couples.
More: Faith Hill
Some of his best-known songs include Humble And Kind, Live Like You Were Dying, It’s Your Love and Just To See You Smile.
It’s estimated Tim McGraw is worth $85million (£61.3m), while with Faith Hill is believed to be worth $80million (£57.7m).
