Tom Hanks is the top choice to play Geppetto in the Pinocchio live-action remake.
It seems as if Disney cant help but challenge themselves into developing their most classic cartoons into live action remakes.
And adding Tom Hanks to that roster is nearly as exciting as Beyonces casting as Nala in the Lion King.
Geppetto, Pinocchios father a poor woodcarver, will be coming to our screens in what could be a live-action blended with CG blended film.
According to Collider, Disney wants its Toy Story franchise voice star to play Geppetto, the toymaker and widower who dreams of having a real son.
A live-action version of their 1940 animated feature will see a remake of the story that follows a living puppet who must prove himself worthy in order to become a real boy.

Geppetto is his creator, a master toymaker and overall protective of Pinocchio, pushing the wooden-boy to set out and see the world for himself.
Paddingtons Paul King is directing and Rogue Ones Chris Weitz is producing the film.
Both were involved in the making of the script with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child playwright Jack Thorne and later Paddington co-writer Simon Farnaby also working on subsequent drafts.
Andrew Miano will also produce the film which is slated to have a budget of around $150 million (£117 million) and is slated to start next summer. The project is separate from the darker, more adult animated feature based on the property which filmmaker Guillermo del Toro is producing for Netflix.
This comes after the first trailer for Lion King remake pretty blown everyones minds out of the water. Fans were left in tears after being re-introduced to the new looks for Simba and Mufasa – no sight of Timon and Pumba yet.
For some reason – and we all know why, to be honest – Queen Beyonces name appearing on the trailer left fans shook even though she was confirmed as a voice actor a good year ago.
Her name even seemed bigger, brighter, bolder than say: Donald Glover, Chiwetel Ejifor, Seth Rogan, Keegan-Michael Key.
Whats more, are we full naming Beyoncé now? Because FYI, she goes by: Beyoncé Knowles-Carter in the acting world.

Making a valid point, one fan on Twitter joked: Im cracking up at the idea that anyone might wonder exactly *which* Beyoncé is in this film.
Another said: There are many, many Beyoncés. Hence the need to differentiate.
The actual Beyonce – i.e. Queen of all things glorious – will take on the role of Nala, the childhood best friend of Simba, who will be played by another multi-hyphen hero, Donald Glover (the actor-producer-singer-writer-rapper).
Donald goes by the name stage name Childish Gambino when singing or rapping and leaves Donald Glover for when he is working on the big and small screen.
So basically, we are in for a damn good treat.
