WNBA players earn a larger share of television revenue over their NBA counterparts by a considerable amount.
ESPNs Darren Rovell tweeted Wednesday:
0.22%: What the average NBA player gets, in salary, of the NBAs annual TV revenue.

Let me be crystal clear before we dig in. I love female athletes. I grew up around them my entire life, and have played basketball with some talented women, but youre in a fantasyland if you think WNBA players are comparable to men with talent. Its delusional.
I have one very obvious question to ask first: Did anybody know that people actually watch the WNBA? That is certainly news to me. I never would have anticipated that. Huge twist.
Now, onward to the serious question at hand. How can the WNBA complain about a single thing when theyre earning .1 percent more on television revenue share than NBA players? NBA players actually draw crowds. They put butts in the seat. They sell tickets.
The WNBA is a casual league that youre forced to watch when you lose a bet. Im not even really against the WNBA. Im against people who lack logic. For example, WNBA players asking to be paid like NBA players is absurd. The fact theyre earning a larger percentage of the television revenue is crazy by itself.
Who is buying tickets to a WNBA game? I mean, seriously? What went wrong in your life that youre at a WNBA game?
I just dont get it, but Im glad to know we now know for a fact that WNBA players are making a larger percentage of television revenue. Thats just crazy, but welcome to America in 2018.
