Glastonbury festival fans will be very forlorn this summer – as the five-day musical jamboree is not happening for the first time since 2012.
The bad news arrived last year, leaving Glastonians on a bit of a come-down after the Foo Fighters headlined in 2017.
But surely this means the anticipation for 2019 will make it the best Glasto in history? Lets hope so.
So why isnt the Somerset festival happening this year? And when can you secure tickets for the next one?
There is no Glastonbury festival happening in 2018 because the farm, the village and the festival team needed a year off.
Its also a fallow year for the fields, which get pretty much destroyed by the trampling feet of excitable crowds.

There were worrying rumours that festival founder Michael Eavis, who is 82, might not want to continue the festival due to his age. But that was a load of poppycock.
The next festival is scheduled to take place at the usual farm in Pilton, Somerset on Wednesday 26 – Sunday 30 June 2019.
You can register for tickets for the 2019 festival here.
They wont be on sale for a fair while but youll be notified about that if you register.
Glasto wants music fans to know that the only ticket agency permitted to sell tickets for the festival is See Tickets so its important not to buy them anywhere else.
There is no word yet on any of the acts that might be playing, or the 2019 price.
In 2017, it was £238 + £5 booking fee per ticket (children aged 12 and under are admitted free of charge and do not need a ticket).
That ticket includes entry, five nights camping, a map and guide to the festival, free mobile phone charging, free firewood, free on-site newspaper and phone app and access to the childrens area, Kidzfield.
