The Christmas number 1 race is as traditional as turkey, mince pies and the Strictly Come Dancing festive special.
And as we approach December, weve started wondering just who is in line to bag the coveted title.
It used to be reserved for the likes of East 17, Shakin Stevens, Spice Girls and Cliff Richard.
But nowadays, its not always a jolly festive song that wins, with the noughties seeing anyone from X Factor winners to Michael Andrew and Gary Jules Mad World or Rage Against The Machines Killing In The Name – as well as the likes of Mr Blobby and Bob The Builders Can We Fix It?
Anyone could win.
So when is the Christmas number 1 being announced?
The 2018 Christmas number one is being announced on Friday 21 December at 5.45pm.

Once the number one has been announced, the full Top 100 will be available on OfficialCharts.com too.
When is the cut-off point for sales?
If you want your favourite festive track to be sitting in the top spot on Christmas Day, youd better make sure youve snapped it up by midnight on Thursday 20 December, as that is the cut-off date.
Who is in the race to be crowned Christmas number 1 winner?
Ariana Grande is currently the UK number one with her single Thank U, Next and its expected she could go the distance and stay at the top for four more weeks.
However, one of the main contenders to her break-up track is Elton John with his 1970 track Your Song.
The classic single is enjoying a resurgence thanks to the John Lewis Christmas advert, in which Elton features with the track as the backing music.
