Hollywood was on the verge of spitting feathers at the weekend when rumours started fluttering that Harvey Weinstein had been spotted in Tinseltown ahead of the Golden Globe Awards.
Harvey’s whereabouts, since he was hit with endless allegations of sexual abuse last year, have been a source of constant interest with rumours suggesting he’s in rehab followed by apparent sightings of him in LA.
With awards season now in full swing after the Golden Globes kicked it off on Sunday, the usually prolific feature of ceremonies is nowhere to be seen.
So where is Harvey Weinstein?
Mass panic was sparked when reports emerged that he had been spotted at the Beverly Hills hotel ahead of the Golden Globes on Sunday, despite the fact he’s apparently been seen in Arizona.
Actresses Rosanna Arquette and Ellen Barkin took to social media to share their disgust at news that the movie mogul appeared to be in the vicinity of the hotel where interviews were being held for the upcoming Golden Globes.
Rosanna Arquette, one of Weinstein’s many accusers, wrote that she ‘smells a rat’ at the news he’d been seen at the hotel. She wrote: ‘It is Very strange, that Harvey Weinstein is at the very same hotel in Beverly Hills that the golden globe press is being done at. I smell a Rat.’
Ellen Barkin added to the confusion, writing: ‘Is serial rapist harvey weinstein in los angeles? on the wknd of the Golden Globes. Why? WHy? WHY?’ and also, ‘I forgot to say ”alleged” …because i know better.’

However, it seems their concern was unnecessary as TMZ later obtained images that appear to show Weinstein, 65, in Arizona as of Thursday 4 January.
It was also claimed that he doesn’t plan on going anywhere any time soon.

So that’s where Harvey is, if you were wondering.
What is Harvey Weinstein’s net worth?
Given the producer’s aforementioned line of film and musical hits, it comes as no surprise that he has amassed a vast amount of money.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, the producer is worth around £153 million, however Forbes estimate that Weinstein has a net worth of about $130 million (£95.5 million).
Weinstein and his brother went on to sell their company Miramax to Disney for £61 million in 1993 but continued to run it.
The brothers also invested in some other unsuccessful ventures.
These included social media site, ASmallWorld, fashion brand, Halston and Genius, a stock for home videos which was supposed to distribute Weinstein movies however this eventually went bankrupt.
The company underwent restructuring in 2009 to primarily focus on producing movies.
In 2010, the company is reported to have given Goldman Sachs and Assured Guaranty Ltd possession of about 200 films in order to obtain $450 million (£340 million) in unpaid credit.
However, in 2013 the company’s fortunes took a turn after they secured $370 million in financing from Union Bank in 2013.

From this point the company began investing in television, producing 22 shows including Project Runway, MobWives, and Netflix’s Marco Polo to great success.
In 2014, the New York Times reported the company might be worth more than $360 million (£272 million), while in 2015 they estimated the price at $950 million (£710 million).
The company has however still had success in the film industry with hit movie, Silver Linings Playbook, grossing $236 million (£178 million) on relatively small budget.
