Bundy is known for the many brutal murders he carried out, the number of which is at least thirty, although the total has never been confirmed.

His earliest documented homicides were committed in 1974 when he was 27 years old. During this time, women had been going missing in the Olympia area, and Bundy was working for a state government agency involved in the search for them.

It was not until August 1975 that he was arrested, but his crimes did not stop there. He escaped jail twice, the second time getting to Florida and attacking and murdering more women.

This was when news spread of the sickening acts hed carried out, with the world becoming shocked that someone could do such things.

He violently killed his victims, before revisiting their bodies and sexually assaulting them as they decomposed, and decapitated some of the women, keeping their skulls in his apartment as mementos.

Bundy was executed in the electric chair at Florida State Prison on 24 January 1989, and the title of the new film is based off of what the judge called the sadistic killer as he was sentenced to death.
