Californias top two executive offices, all 80 seats in the Assembly, 20 of the 40 seats in the state Senate and all 53 of Californias seats in the House of Representatives are on the June 5 primary ballot.

Fight for Congress

The states 53 congressional districts will have elections. In 2016, half of the 14 Republican-held districts voted for Hillary Clinton for president. Some of the races are flooded with candidates. Those listed below have at least seven candidates on the ballot.

End of the Brown era

There are 27 candidates for governor on the primary ballot. Candidates backgrounds range from puppeteers to CEOs, but there is no incumbent.Gov. Jerry Brown has been governor longer than any other person, but after two stints covering 16 years in office, he is not eligible to run again.
