Wu-Tang Clan are set to perform at this year’s Lovebox Festival, joining the likes of Childish Gambino, Skepta and N.E.R.D on the bill.
The hip-hop legends will be performing at Gunnersbury Park for one UK date on Friday 13 July.
They will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their seminal debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) – yes, 25 years – with members including RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Cappadonna.
The New York rap titans, who formed in 1991 in Staten Island are widely regarded as hip hop’s most influential collective and will join Skepta, SZA, Diplo, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Vince Staples and many more on the Friday line-up.
Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover, will be headlining the Saturday night following the release of his most recent album, Awaken, My Love! which earned him five Grammy nods and the standout track, Redbone.
N.E.R.D, with Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo and Shae Haley, return to co-headline Saturday – their first album since 2010, No One Ever Really Dies featured one of the best tracks of 2017, Lemon, with Rihanna.
