Zayn Malik has been dropped by his manager, reportedly over claims the star is difficult to work with.
Sarah Stennett, the co-founder of First Access Entertainment, cut ties with Zayn, who found fame as one fifth of One Direction but went on to become a solo star, on Monday.
Sometimes in life you have to make extremely difficult decisions to effect positive change for everyone, Stennett said, confirming the news.
The pair first started working together in 2015 when he left One Direction, but sources have alleged that Zayn has becoming challenging to work with, declining many promotional opportunities and not touring behind his last album.
He also pulled out of several shows in 2016 because of his anxiety.
His sophomore album is due in June, and the news comes on the back of the release of his second single from the upcoming work.
Reps for Zayn and First Access have been contacted by Metro.co.uk.
