Comedian Alan Carr has filmed some scenes for an upcoming episode of Hollyoaks, it has been confirmed. The TV personality, known for his stand up and his talk show Chatty man as well as various appearances on panel shows, was on-set today with his dogs Bev and Joyce.

Alan’s cameo on the show was for his show Crufts Extra, which he presents with Clare Balding and it will see him exploring the location with his two Irish Setters and also interacting with the cast. But as well as that, he and his beloved pooches will appear as themselves in an episode of the popular soap.

Hollyoaks’ Instagram channel has been sharing images of Alan’s visit to the show, with the comedian introducing himself via an Instagram story. Cast members such as Alex Fletcher (Diane), Haiesha Mistry (Yasmine) and Kieron Richardson (Ste) were on hand to give the Spexy Beast a warm Oaks welcome.

Alan tweeted the show to thank them for accommodating him and his episode of the soap is expected to air in the spring.

It’s not the first time in recent months that a well known face has made a cameo in Hollyoaks – last year, journalist Kate Garraway did all of the reporting on the murder trial of Amy Barnes. Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing also featured in hospital scenes as a nurse.
