Reflecting on the huge response to the break-up track, Ariana said: I cant believe it but, like, so can.

Its me and my besties tipsy off champagne – and me with a broken heart – just letting it out and having fun. I love this more than any other song Ive ever put out.

Thank U, Next was recorded in two weeks with famed pop songwriter Max Martin. Ari says the track has feminine energy and champagne and music and laughter and crying.

This [albums] not particularly uplifting. A lot of it sounds really upbeat, but its actually a super sad chapter.

As for her taste for champagne, Ariana also recalled a recent trip to Tiffanys with some of her close friends for some much-needed retail therapy.

She revealed: You know how when youre waiting at Tiffanys, they give you lots of champagne?

They got us very tipsy, so we bought seven engagement rings, and when I got back to the studio I gave everybody a friendship ring.
