Nearly 43 years after Queen released Bohemian Rhapsody – a six-minute suite with no chorus and an operatic section, a guitar solo, and a ballad – a new film has been released detailing the rise and fall of the band and front man Freddie Mercury.

Titled Bohemian Rhapsody, after the iconic song that would go on to become the UKs third best-selling single of all time, the film promises to trace the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercurys lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music.

The song Bohemian Rhapsody, however, is just as meteoric, covering everything from nihilism to love to murder and then throwing in a bit of devil imagery for good measure so its no wonder that a song of this magnitude can trip up even the best karaoke singers.
