Its coming home – to the top of the charts that is.
Three Lions is back where it belongs when it comes to the Official Vodafone Big Top 40. Baddiel, Skinner and the Lightning Seeds have scored the winning goal in shooting to the top of the Top 40, reaching the number one spot for this weeks chart ahead of the semi final on Wednesday.
The absolute banger of a tune, which has been sung spontaneously by many an England fan on the streets in the last couple of weeks, first hit the charts in 1996 when it was released for the Euros. It was later re-released for the 1998 World Cup.
Two decades later its knocked Clean Bandits Solo feat. Demi Lovato from the top as England continues to triumph.
It shot up 32 places after Englands win against Sweden on 7 July.
