BTS and Little Mix to host their own Radio 1 shows on Christmas Day

Radio 1 will be taken over by A-lister pop stars and Hollywood actors on Christmas day as the likes of Little Mix, BTS, Emma Stone and Benedict Cumberbatch will host hour-long shows.

What a Christmas treat!

Radio 1s Superstar Playlists – which is also available on BBC Sounds – will kick off at 10am with Little Mix, who will share their favourite songs for as well a promise that they will be performing Christmas classics on kazoos.

Merry Christmas! We are so happy that we have been asked to host our own Superstar Playlist on Radio 1, said the girls, who won The X Factor in 2011 and have gone on to become international superstars.

Were really excited to play our favourite Christmas songs and we want everyone to join in the festive fun!

K-pop band BTS can be heard trying out British traditions such as mince pies and Christmas crackers for the first time when they hit the airwaves at 12pm along with Adele Roberts, while Charli XCX, fresh off her tour with Taylor Swift, is going to be calling for Kylie Jenner to release a Christmas song.

Now that we want to hear.

The 1975, on air from 2pm will be ranking their favourite Christmas chocolates while the likes of Hailee Steinfeld, Michael B Jordan, Jack Whitehall, Claire Foy, and Keira Knightley will revealing teir favourite Christmas songs when they join Ali Plumb at 3pm.

11pm – 1am: Radio 1s Indie Show with Jack Saunders
