BTS are the first ever K-pop group to be nominated for a Grammy Award.

Over the past year the band have gone from strength to strength internationally, and have broken a number of records, which has seen K-pop soar worldwide.

And now they have gone and claimed another breakthrough moment, by becoming the first K-[op group ever to be nominated for a Grammy.

In 2019 the band will see their album Love Yourself: Tear go up against the likes of St. Vincent, Foxhole, The Chairman and Mitski for the best recording package.

The group released their album earlier this year, and within the first week of its release, the masterpiece had already hit the one million sales mark.

This was a personal best for the group whose previous record was selling 759,263 of their Love Yourself: Her album.

Their single from the tracklisting Fake Love took the band to new heights as it hit another milestone by reaching 40 million views on YouTube.

In less than 24 hours, the boys had already broken their own record for the fastest K-pop group MV to reach 40 million views.

Their hits started strong at 10 million only five hours after the track had been uploaded.

This then grew to 20 million in eight hours, 30 million in 16 hours and now stood at a staggering 48 million hits 24 hours later.

Talking on VLive ahead of its release, Jimin said: I think [the fans] will love Fake Love. I personally wouldnt say that one of our songs is this good. But Fake Love was good.

V said of the track that Jin is the standout, saying: Jin-hyung had a lot of cool parts in Fake Love. Jin-hyung is the main character.
