BTS have topped their own record with their upcoming album.
The pre-orders for the K-pop groups Love Yourself: Answer, which will drop on 24 August, have reached 1,511,910 million in South Korea, in stats from 18 to 24 July.
This is 62,623 pre-orders more than what BTS current album Love Yourself: Tear, which recorded 1,449,287 in advance orders last April, achieved.
Love Yourself: Answer earlier topped Amazons Best Sellers in CDs & Vinyl based on pre-orders.
BTS past album Love Yourself: Her, released last 18 September last year, had 1 million in pre-orders while You Never Walk Alone had 700,000.
On Billboard, Love Yourself: Tear charted at No. 49 on the Billboard 200 for the week of 28 July, its ninth straight week on the chart. The album debuted at No. 1 on the chart.
From January to June this year, the album sold 1.75 million copies in South Korea since its release on 18 May, the lone album to have reached at least 1 million in sales.
