Build your own “digital Lego” sculptures in Jupiter Artlands Minecraft experience

Jupiter Artland sculpture park in Edinburgh has opened a virtual version of its site in Minecraft, the addictive video game that allows players to create structures out of virtual blocks—think of it as digital Lego—and set off on their own wacky cyberspace adventures. Visitors to the Minecraft version can take in all of the parks sculptures, from Antony Gormleys Firmament (2008) to Tania Kovats boathouse piece (Rivers, 2010). A pilot version launched at Easter when around 100 young people (youth) took part in a virtual Easter egg hunt. “Once all the eggs were found, children began building their own wonderful looking creations opposite Jupiter Artlands front gates using Minecraft tools.
