SAN MATEO – A Caltrain collided with an occupied vehicle in San Mateo this evening, authorities said.
The collision, which involved southbound train No. 272, occurred at the 25th Avenue grade crossing just before 6 p.m., according to Caltrain spokeswoman Tasha Bartholomew.
Bartholomew said the occupants of the vehicle are being treated by paramedics at the scene.
There were no immediate reports of any injuries to the 600 or so passengers on the train.
