Cleveland Cavaliers player Rodney Hood is the man for refusing to enter a blowout victory against the Raptors Tuesday night.

How big of a power move is this? Well, its such a power move that the Cavs decided to not suspend him as of Tuesday afternoon.

Heres the thing. Back in the day, I played on a 29-0 state championship ball team, and used to pull this stunt regularly. I was on the team for something to do with my friends. It was really that simple, and I had next to no interest in playing in blowout victories. Why risk getting hurt or anything in the final minutes of a game?

Im here to be on easy street. Now, did I enter the Final Four and championship game? Of course, but thats different. You have no idea how many “injuries” I started feeling when the second half of a lot of games rolled around. I always got a kick out of it.

Sounds like Hood and I were doing it for two different reasons. I was probably doing it because I just didnt really want to play. Hood is doing it because hes pissed at a lack of playing time. Not sure I condone that, but I still find it hilarious that a guy making tons of cash to play ball is refusing to check in. Power moves for days.
