For DC fans theres always going to be the Nolan Batman Vs DCEU debate raging.
While Ben Afflecks Batman has been embraced by many fans, there are those who cant forget DCs most popular dive into cinema so far – Christopher Nolans Dark Knight Trilogy.
One of those people is Kevin Smith, and he has a strong opinion about the state of Batman in the current DC big screen run, namely Christian Bale should still be Bruce Wayne.

making the best movies they could by creating two separate cinematic universe.
Its something weve all thought before – lets be honest.

It feels like, I mean, they werent saying that Ben was Christian Bale, but they were saying like “oh hes been around for years hes not that guy anymore.”
I think I would have preferred it, and Im not, this aint shitting on Affleck, but as a guy who loved the Nolan trilogy when they announced, like… hey theyre making Man of Steel and Chris Nolans a producer on it, I was like “Oh fuck man, so that means like his Batman and his Superman will coexist and then ultimately it wound up being Zack Snyders Superman… Batman instead.
I would have preferred the Christian Bale version just as a continuity freak like all these fuckers… and also it wouldnt have been like, “why does everyone bitch about DC movies doing? Oh, theyre trying to be like Marvel and catch up to Marvel”. They had it right there. They were like making these fucking Batman movies forever so now were just going to connect them, so weve got a universe but instead they launched a brand-new universe.
More: Batman
Hes kind of got a point…
But with that all said and done the DCEU seems to be moving in a more positive direction.
