Evil Pat Phelan has one major weakness in Coronation Street – his desire to rebuild his relationship with his daughter Nicola Rubinstein. So, at the moment, he remains completely unaware that she is planning to bring him down, alongside his nemesis Gary Windass.
When Gary discovered that Nicola was secretly harbouring missing Seb Franklin, she explained to him that she was apologising to Phelan and making out that she wanted a relationship so that she could infiltrate his home and work and do some digging.
Knowing that Phelan has some big secrets and realising that she is the only one with the chance of finding them, Nicola is taking a huge risk – but she needs another pair of eyes. Which is where Gary comes in.
Nicola did her best to persuade Phelan to take Gary on as a builder on the Mill project and although he was having none of it, she explained that she needed the child maintenance from him and thus Gary needed work.
Eventually relenting after Nicola worked her magic, Phelan reluctantly agreed to give it a chance. But not even Nicola and Gary realise quite how much Gary could discover on this project – given that Andy and Vinny’s bodies are concealed there.
Is this the beginning of the end for Phelan?
