Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) is a desperate man now that Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) knows the truth about the theft of her money in Coronation Street and, desperate to avoid prison given the fact he is already high up on the suspect list for the roof collapse which killed Rana Habeeb, he has a proposition to put to his stunned brother David Platt (Jack P Shepherd).
With disgusted Audrey determined that the brothers shouldnt get away with their betrayal and should face the consequences, despite Gail Rodwells (Helen Worth) pleas, Nick knows its only a matter of time before the police come calling.
Davids jaw hits the floor when Nick puts his latest idea for him – if he takes the blame for stealing the money, Nick will sign over his share of the barber shop. Although some would argue that it would pretty hard for David to keep the business afloat from a prison cell.
