Coronation Street icon Carla Connor (Alison King) makes a dramatic exit from Weatherfield next week amid fears that she is going to be murdered. Can a frantic Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) track her down and save her life? Or is this the last we will see of her?
Carla becomes significantly paranoid as she feels the whole world has turned on her for the factory collapse which killed Rana Habeeb (Bhavna Limbachia) and this feeling of fear is only emphasised when she gets a threatening message online which tells her that she destroys everything she touches.
The menacing comment comes from a name which shocks Carla and Peter becomes determined to get to the bottom of who is tormenting Carla. Over the course of the week, she becomes more and more anxious, fearing someone is out to kill her and even wondering if Peter is brainwashed and in on the plot to get back at her.
When another message comes through, Carla freaks out and covers the camera on her laptop, certain that she is being watched. And then after thinking murderous messages are being hidden in crosswords for her, she gets it into her head that she is being poisoned by someone.

Deciding she cant trust anyone, Carlas state of mind deteriorates in a drastic way and Peter knows that she needs help so tentatively guides her to the medical centre. Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) agrees that she needs mental health treatment but as this makes Carla more nervous, she darts for the window and makes her mistake.
