Another character is set to leave Coronation Street towards the end of summer as Jane Danson and Georgia Taylor have been bidding farewell to their co-star George Banks – but hoping that he will return down the line.
Jane, who plays Leanne Tilsley in the soap, enthused that she wishes George the best and hopes to see him back on the cobbles soon as he has finished filming with the cast.
George has only just reappeared in Weatherfield as charmingly rich but less than trustworthy Henry Newton. Henry returns to woo Gemma Winter with claims that his engagement is off and he has ditched his family so he can be with her – and he has even bought the Rovers Return for her to run.
Gemma falls back into his arms despite previously being deeply hurt that he had placed a bet with his smarmy mate Hugo that he would be able to seduce her. Gemma kicked him out of her life after discovering this but he returns claiming to be a changed man.

However, the fact that he wont be around for very long suggests that yet more heartache is on the way for poor Gemma. Does this pave the way for Chesney Brown to intervene and pick up the pieces?
Jane and Georgias messages suggest that they will become involved in Henry and Gemmas storyline over coming weeks – but what is in store remains under wraps.
As for the Rovers, Johnny and Jenny Connor will end up taking over the beloved community watering hole – and even plan to rename it The Roverz, as well as changing the menu so that it no longer carries Bettys legendary hotpot!
And we thought that Henry was a wrong un!
