Drake is re-introducing Michael Jackson to a new generation of music lovers by featuring the legends standout vocals on his latest album, Scorpion.

The Canadian rapper unveiled his new project today and surprised fans with an unexpected collaboration with the late Thriller hitmaker titled Dont Matter To Me.

Drizzy raps and sings on the previously unreleased Michael Jackson track the same way he did with Aaliyahs vocals on his 2012 track, Enough Said.

All of a sudden you say you dont want me no more / All of a sudden you say that I closed the door / It dont matter to me, Jackson belts out on the mid-tempo R&B track.

It was a bittersweet addition to the album as the unveiling came just a day after Joe Jackson, Micheals father lost his battle with cancer. 25 June also marked the ninth anniversary since Michael passed following an overdose of the anaesthetic propofol.

Scorpion is the Drakes fifth studio album and the late King Of Pop is not the only industry heavyweight that makes a cameo. Jay-Z makes a guest appearance on the track Talk Up and Ty Dolla $ign and Static Major are also featured.

The record is split into two parts with a total of 25 songs and contains previously released singles Gods Plan, Im Upset and Nice For What. It is the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2016s Views, which spawned hits including Hotline Bling, One Dance and Controlla.

Drake also used his track Emotionless to confirm that he is a father after months of radio silence on the baby rumours. In the song, which samples Mariah Carey, the Young Money star raps: I wasnt hiding my kid from the world/I was hiding the world from my kid.

Breakin news in my life I dont run to the blogs/ The only ones I wanna tell are the ones I can call, he adds before revealing his little boy was born 11 October.

Meanwhile, it looks that the 31-year-old entertainer is preparing to drop a new freestyle on Link Up TV after he posted up a cryptic photo of a microphone inside a studio booth with the UK rap platforms logo. Could he finally be replying to Pusha Ts diss track, The Story Of Adidon?

A&R & Artist liaison Joey Clipstar later shared a snap with Drake on his Instagram page, along with the caption: I visualised this years ago and it only just manifested… I look forward to showing you what Im visualising now that will manifest when its time… @champagnepapi mad love for the hospitality u showed us bro ❤?? Behind Barz dropping sooner than you think ?
