Dua Lipa has been forced to cancel gigs after emergency dental surgery left her unable to perform.
The 22-year-old called in sick for work with an Instagram video of her looking sorry for herself in bed, which is totally the new way of letting the bosses know you’re having a day off.
The singer has been having a whale of a time supporting Bruno Mars, but her pesky wisdom teeth (seriously, when is evolution going to phase those things out?!) have left her bedridden after causing so much pain she had to undergo unplanned surgery.
Uploading a video of herself suffering in bed holding ice to her swollen face, she wrote: ‘Im so sorry to have to cancel some of my support shows with @brunomars . I’ve been performing with an awful pain due to my wisdom teeth and as advised by my dentist and oral surgeon I have had to have them imminently removed.
‘I have been enjoying this tour so much and i’m so upset that life has gotten in the way but hopefully i’ll have a speedy recovery and make it back as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding xx.’
She’ll miss Wednesday’s show in Brisbane, and possibly more if she’s not fully recovered.
Her Twitter was then flooded with well wishes from fans.
Girl, been there done that it's v painful but it's gonna be alright, good luck
