EastEnders has revealed highly charged scenes ahead for grieving Carmel Kazemi and Keegan Baker ahead of an emotional funeral episode. As Carmel tries to block out the preparations for Shakil Kazemis send off, she piles all of her focus into her unsuccessful youth club.

But when she hears that Keegan is continuing to struggle and is lashing out, she heads round to the Taylors flat to give him a reality check. But as she tries to show him tough love, he turns on her and reminds her that her own actions arent ever going to bring her son back.

As an angry Keegans outburst leaves Carmel devastated, they will cross paths again later in the week – but this time it is Carmels turn to leave Keegan taken aback when she puts him in his place but will she regret the shocking words she delivers to him?

By the end of the week, Carmel has demanded that the funeral is called off but Kush insists that it goes ahead and confides in Denise that he thinks his mum is letting Shakil down. When the day arrives and Carmel is nowhere to be seen, Denise Fox heads out to try and track her down – but can she persuade her not to miss the chance to say a final goodbye to Shakil?

The episode will contain a real life element as actual families of knife crime victims will appear to share elements of their own stories.
