EastEnders viewers were left in shock several months back when it was revealed that seemingly perfect husband Gray Atkins (Toby Alexander-Smith) had been brutally assaulting his wife Chantelle (Jessica Plummer) behind closed doors.
However, fed up with Gray calling all the shots, Chantelle makes a stand in upcoming episodes. Will she live to regret her actions?
The day of Chantelles assessment at work arrives, and — in spite of her nerves — she passes with flying colours, as those around her show their support.
As celebrations get underway at the Vic, Gray makes a surprise appearance and — not pleased to hear about his wifes victory — he sabotages said celebrations.
Following his actions, he makes it clear that he wants Chantelle to come home, but hes left fuming when she insists that shes staying.

This isnt the only time we see the hairdresser standing up to her abusive husband either, as — later in the week — Gray begins to feel left out of the Taylor family once more and, as a result, he takes his frustrations out on Chantelle by lashing out at her.

However, she stands up to him again — something which Gray certainly isnt expecting.
How will Gray react to his wifes rebellious side?
Its pretty clear that he doesnt like being isolated from everything and — with Chantelle getting along nicely with all of the Walford regulars — his insecurities are becoming more and more obvious.
