EastEnders spoilers: More agony for Hayley Slater as her evil mum Bev returns

The last time we saw Hayley Slaters toxic mum Bev, she had delivered a scathing and devastating rant to her and then abandoned her while she lay bleeding, fearing that she was going to lose her baby.

She is back in EastEnders but acting the doting mother in the wake of Hayley giving birth to her baby girl alone. When Hayley abandons the baby on the doorstep of the Ahmeds, Bev takes her in and assures her that she has done the right thing.

Masood and Arshad want to report the incident to social services but Mariam suggests they give Hayley a day to change her mind as she truly thinks she can be a good mother. Feeling guilty, Hayley arrives back to visit the Ahmeds but is interrupted by a raging Kat.

The row leaves Hayley stung and she heads back to seek refuge with Bev. However, when she gets a call from the Ahmeds who have to take the baby to hospital, she realises that she cant ignore the situation.

When she arrives, she learns that her child is okay but a social worker has questions. Kat and Mariam are by her side to support her and Hayley begs to be able to keep her baby. But when they bond, Bev intervenes and suggests they both stay with her, leaving Kat worried.

At Bevs, Hayley starts to doubt herself as a mum again but Bev tries to show her what to do and suggests that the baby could help Hayley to fix her past.

But is Bevs kindness genuine or does she have an ulterior motive? Judging from her past appearance, this may be an easy one to answer…
