Emmerdale village has been rocked by a grim discovery tonight as Jessie Dingle (Sandra Marvin) received a phone call to tell her that the remains of a young baby have been found in the school grounds – and police are now launching an investigation into the historical matter.
Ever since the storyline has been revealed, there have been a number of candidates speculated by fans from Lydia Hart (Karen Blick) and Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) through to Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) and even Kim Tate (Claire King). However, as the evidence mounts, coupled with Lydias reaction in the pub and quickness to change the subject, fans are more and more certain that Sams (James Hooton) fiancee is the one hiding the big secret that she is Jenny Finn, the mother who will be identified by police as being connected to the grim discovery.
We know that Lydia has lost a child in the past as she found herself unable to handle the funeral of baby Grace and she eventually opened up to Sam – so could this baby be the one that she lost back when she was 16? Or are Emmerdale feeding red herrings?
